Shipping policy

SHIPPING INFORMATION

Packages are shipped 1-3 business days after your order is placed. Most will ship same day/next morning, but may take up to 3 days to process.

Shipping cost is calculated by weight (thankfully yarn doesn't weigh much!) and we try our very hardest to keep our shipping reasonable. Most packages under 16oz will ship for around $5 (often less!) and most packages weighing over 16oz will ship for between $5-$10. To keep shipping costs down, all orders that can will ship in an eco friendly shipping envelope that you can reuse. If your order doesn't fit in an envelope, it will ship in a recyclable box.

And don't forget - if you spend $100, you get free shipping! Your cart will automatically keep track of this for you, so you can be sure to know how far you are away from free shipping! 

**Please note - at this time free shipping is only offered on orders shipped within the US. We appreciate our international customers and apologize for the inconvenience!**

YARN WINDING

Would you like your yarn wound before we send it? Be sure to answer the "Yes" or "No" question when you are still in your cart before advancing to checkout! If you don't answer "Yes", we'll assume you don't want your yarn wound and will leave it in its original skein. 

Some skeins are already wound and ready to go, and we'll send these to you as they are, even if you select "Yes" when checking out. There are also a select few yarns that are too slippery for our winder, and are best done by hand when you're ready to use them. 

CHANGING AN ORDER

Need to make a change to your order? Because of our fast processing time, the best way to be sure we'll see the needed change is to either send us an email (silverthreadsyarn@gmail.com) if it's outside of normal business hours, or to give us a call at 828-349-0515 during business hours. Our hours are 10am-5pm Tuesday-Saturday (6:00pm on Thursday) EST.
